EAT, PRAY, LOVE

Such is the title of the book I'm almost finished reading. The author is Elizabeth Gilbert. It could too easily be pigeon-holed as a "chick" book, but it isn't. Her writing is often hilariously descriptive, but it is her unflinching look at the inner workings of human spirit and our editorial, often whip-wielding brain that is the real gem of this book. It is a wise look at a journey, brought on by bitter divorce, that takes place over the course of a year. A third of it in Italy (eat), a third in India (pray) and a third in Bali (love). You will feel that you've been on a trip after reading this ... a trip outside AND inside yourself.
